Holiday Gift Guide – PART II – GIFTS FOR TEACHER

Happy Tuesday!

What a glorious day it is.  Albeit snowy, but I really do love December.  The holiday season is by far my favorite time of year.  It smells pretty, it sounds pretty, it looks pretty, it tastes pretty… good.  Literally all of the pretty things!!  Very appropriate we should be meeting each other now.

Speaking of looking pretty, where do you live?  I’m in Connecticut and Baby!  It’s cold outside!  My husband, daughter and I just got back from visiting my parents in South Carolina for Thanksgiving, and it was so nice to thaw out for a few days. The Northeast got slammed yesterday with a ton of snow, but I think everyone is digging their way out of it at this point. Do you like the snow?! I’ve lived in New England/New York my entire life and I hate it. Go figure!

Part II – GIFTS FOR TEACHER:

So, when I sat down to think about gifts for teacher, I immediately thought of Etsy.  Why I didn’t think of this last year when I needed it is beyond me… but now that I am helping someone else, of course I get all the ideas!

What I love about Etsy, is that you can get all kinds of hand-made, very thoughtful gifts at affordable prices!

#1- Cute pot holder & baking mix

OMIGAH.  I saw this and absolutely adore it.  If you’re a DIY-er, you could definitely pull this off, and you do still need to put it together but how stinking cute is this.  It’s $7.99 for the potholder (+$2 to include a spatula, which I bet you could find one for cheaper somewhere) and you’d just grab a box mix at the store and tuck it in.  For right around $10 you can get the cutest gift for your kids’ teacher!  I love it.

#2- Travel coffee cup

Here’s another easy {and cheap} but super unique and thoughtful gift.  Does Teacher love/need her caffeine!?  Here’s a super cute Starbucks hot cup that is only $13.  The shop adds the person’s name in black on the side, as if it was written there by the barista!  I love that added touch.  You could even throw in a gift card for $10 and keep it under $25.  This is a teacher-specific style, but there are a bunch of others in this particular shop, too!

#3- Hand painted ornament set

An old friend makes the most gorgeous pieces!  Her art is absolutely amazing, and you can gift it in ornament form!  This would make such a unique gift for someone.  She also sells individual ornaments, different sizes, or will custom make something based on colors.  Her Etsy Shop is under construction, but can request custom orders there or message her on Instagram (@intheheathers). She also has photos on the ‘gram of her work. Such talent!!

#4- Personalized jewelry

You can never go wrong with something personalized, and who doesn’t love getting jewelry, like this initial necklace!  It comes in a variety of colors and is hand made using clay.  There are so many initial style necklaces, but this is very unique.  Priced under $40 {and free shipping!}.  I may ask for one of these for myself!

#5- Planner

Planners are all the rage right now, and this one is under $35 and specifically made for teachers!  It is set up with a binder inside, so additional pages can be added if needed, and the planner can be re-used every year with new inserts!  The other teachers will be green with envy!  {see what I did there?}  Either way, this one gets an A+ in my book.

#6- Bracelet Keychain #trending

This keychain has been a hot item in 2019, and because of it’s convenience, I don’t see the demand for these going anywhere soon!  It’s under $10 bucks, comes in a ton of colors and patterns, and just makes life easier.  I’m 110% here for it.

#7- Water Tumbler

Okay, let’s face it.  it’s hard to remember to drink water, right?  This handy dandy cup will fix all that, because it reminds you to drink water and integrates with health apps!  Now that is something all teachers {and busy mamas like me!} need in their life.

#8- Long lasting lip color

As we have determined, Teacher doesn’t have much time to play games, let alone reapply her lip color.  There is a solution!  Check this out {and get ready for your mind to be blown!}  a long-lasting, smudge proof lip color! She’ll need at least a color and gloss which is a set. BONUS: if she already uses Lipsense, she wouldn’t need a gloss! And if you really like her, Remover is a plus too.  Head over to my Online Shop & Beauty Group on FB to browse products! I’ll be ordering on Saturday to make sure everyone gets things in time for Christmas!

And there you have it, great gifts for ‘Teach.  See you tomorrow, when I’ll give you some really ABFAB ideas for your MIL!
