Holiday Gift Guide – PART I – GIFTS FOR HIM

Hello and welcome to Living Pretty x Coleen!  I am so glad you’re here with me starting from day one.  Living Pretty has been a big dream of mine for a long time, and while there is still a lot of learning to be done, I am so happy to be sharing this dream with you!

This blog will be filled with tips, tricks, and my “tried and trues” – I want to give you everything you need when it comes to easy and affordable fashion, how-to videos for makeup and hair, information about healthy living and some of my favorite recipes, and all of my go-to products.  Really, everything!  The sky is the limit for us here. You’re welcome.

Because it is now December, and the *Holiday Season* has quickly taken over the world, I thought I would provide for you a Holiday Gift Guide for some of those hard to buy for people.  This was a request from the get from one of my best girlfriends (who shall remain nameless, but if you’re reading this, I got you, boo!) and I thought it was a great idea!

I don’t know about you, but when I sit down to make my holiday shopping lists, sometimes I just get stuck.  My husband is impossible to buy for, and has been since the day we met.  My daughter is only two, but I had a heck of a time picking out things for her (daycare) teachers last year.  And what about buying for your mother in law?!  It’s rough out there this time of year {in the proverbial sense, because let’s face it.  This chick does not set foot in a mall from Thanksgiving until the first of the year}, but I’m here for you, pretties!  I will give you a four part series this week with gift ideas for all the people in your life including your spouse/boyfriend, your roommate (or coworker, or friend of a friend that you adore!), your mother in law, and for your kids’ teachers.

Of course, there are a range of options depending on how much money you want to spend, but I’ll try to give a few ideas in each dollar bracket so that everyone can get something out of this guide.  Let’s get to it, shall we?  And make sure to read through to the end, as I am giving you a few of my holiday shopping tips as well!

Part I – GIFTS FOR HIM:

Holiday Gift Giving Guide 2019 – GIFTS FOR HIM

#1- Beanie

This is an easy gift in the $20-$30 range.  Here is a versatile style that comes in a variety of colors.

#2- A shaving subscription {such as Harry’s, Dollar Shave Club}

Harrys: gift sets available here that range from $20-$90

Dollar Shave Club: purchase a gift certificate or gift sets are available here ranging from $20-$50

#3- A nice wireless speaker

It will run you a little more, but this would make a great gift!  This one I found, is $99 and I love that it comes in bright colors!  {Mr.  Pretty loves color!  I would pick the orange for him!}

#4- A Northface puffer vest

Doesn’t have to be Northface brand, but I do love the quality.  Both Mr.  Pretty and I have had any and all NF products we have owned for many years and they hold up so well.  This one is a little different of a style and is a two tone, which is a great look.  It’s on the pricier side, running $179 regularly, but IMO it’s completely worth it.  I would keep an eye on it for holiday sales, or you can always find a less expensive alternative.

#5- A new watch

Now- I will say that I have always thought a watch makes an excellent gift for a guy.  The thing I love about them is that you can really purchase one in most price points, as long as you’re not looking to be under $50.  I am really feeling the one that I found here.  It is super classy looking, but has a rugged, retro vibe to it.  And it’s only around $100, which gets a thumbs up from me.  Someone may find this under the tree for them this year!

#6- Cologne

Okay, okay.  Cologne is kind of a generic gift, but hear me out.  Sephora does a holiday sampler every year, where you receive sample size items of I think 10 colognes to try, and a voucher for one full size of your choice to be redeemed at a later time.  The sampler is $65 – I got this for my husband one year {before he was my husband} and really like the idea.  You don’t have to stress out about picking the right fragrance, because he gets to choose himself!  Bonus: if he takes you with him to the mall to pick up the full sized product!

#7- A wireless charger

This one is a little outside of the box, but the techie in him will love it.  It’s modern, professional, and could easily be used at home or the office.  For under $80, it’s another middle of the road price point that is something unique and different for him!

#8- Underoos

Because who doesn’t love getting underwear for Christmas!  If he didn’t before, he will love you for these things, I promise.  They are a #cultfavorite and liked by men of all ages {I have asked around!}.  They don’t go on sale often, and are $25 a pop, but well worth it – they come in plain colors, but they always have cute prints which crack me up.  One year there were nutcrackers.  This year I see Christmas Beavers, Christmas Pickles, and leopard print to name a few!

#9- Insulated coozie

Even in the winter, beer needs to stay cold!  With this baby, he will enjoy an icy cold beverage for hours {if it lasts that long!}  And priced under $25, it’s a great stocking stuffer or gift for a new boo.

And that wraps up Part I of this guide.  I hope you’ll be here tomorrow for Part II – Gifts for Teacher!

  • Got my fella a new watch last year and it was a big hit! Definitely something that most wouldn’t treat themselves to which is why it (and the rest of your list) makes a perfect gift.

    • I love watches as gifts!! Totally one of my go-tos, and you’re 100% right- most people (men and women alike!) don’t like buying them for themselves! x
