Spring 2020 Target Haul

Happy Monday, y’all! I hope that everyone had a great weekend! This week is supposed to be really nice here in Connecticut, but the weekend was still pretty chilly. I didn’t do much outside of the house but was quite productive in the house. We had a yummy steak dinner with TJ’s cauliflower gnocchi and I had a nice glass of wine (or two) which makes my heart happy. Mr. Pretty took the little princess out and about for me so I had a lot of time to get myself situated for the upcoming week. I got to sleep in a little, did some cooking, and planning. I’m excited for the week and the start of March!!

I thought I would do a little Target Haul for y’all. They have a ton of fun stuff for Spring out right now and I am loving some of the looks I was able to put together!

I picked up these adorable high-waisted jeans and knew that I HAD to have them. I’m obsessed. I am a sucker for a paper bag waist, too, although I actually don’t own any pants with that type of waist! But these jeans, are adorbs. They’re high-waisted, so super flattering. Really dark wash, without any distressing which is nice for a little change. AND THEY HAVE A BELT! O-M-G. How freakin’ cute. And I think the best part of all is that they’re only $30.

They fit true to size and are a really comfy, stretchy denim material. I am a little between sizes, and did order my regular size (6) but am wondering if I could have sized down one because they stretch. They do feel like they’ll hold their shape. They are a little long, which is my only complaint, but I’m also 5’0″ tall… so if you are petite like me, just be aware. This may be a reason to size down, also. You’ll see that they come all the way to the floor and I’m wearing 3.5 or 4″ heels.

I styled these jeans two different ways. I love them classed up with a little satin cami and cardigan. This look could easily be worn with a blazer, too, for work. These jeans are super versatile! The cami, I love. The color is a dark greenish teal and the material is not quite satin, but for $18 you can’t beat it. It would also fare well on its own, but I loved it under this open front cardigan. The cardigan also comes in a couple colors. Here, I’m wearing this combo with shoes that I’ve had for EVER and are always a favorite when I pull them out. They are Bebe D’Orsay pumps, but I linked something similar.

I also found a super cute off the shoulder top that pairs well with these jeans for an easy breezy date night look.

The top fits TTS, I am wearing a Small. I love the floral print on it, and the bit of elastic around the neck/arms helps to keep it in place. It is super flowy, which is both good and bad, depending on how you’re looking at it. I did find that it wore a little wide for my small frame if untucked, but I’m not giving up on it. I am going to work on styling this with slimmer fitting pants such as my Spanx Faux Leather Leggings or skinny jeans like my two favorites here or here.

Next up is this super cute striped top that has me wishing for summer, big time. Super easy to take from Spring to Summer, and so easy to style. I have been dying to wear white jeans as we are getting so close the warmer weather, so this was the perfect opportunity to bust them out! These are from last year, but they still have them in stock!

The top is easy to wear. It fits TTS, I am wearing a Small. I love anything that ties in the front. And the button detail on this is so cute. The navy stripes are so summery, but I will say I was torn between this color and the green which is more of a plaid. It also comes in a light pink. For $18 I really could have gotten all three!

This top is super cute with white jeans, I would definitely throw a jean jacket over this. It would be just as cute with ripped mom jeans and a moto jacket. That’s next! As soon as I find a pair of jeans I like. I am also thinking it would style well for work with a pencil skirt and heels.

What are your thoughts on this seasons huge TIE DYE Trend?!? I’m hesitant, but showing up. I picked up this muted colored sweatshirt that’s a blue tie dye. The material is so soft, it’s nice and light weight and I think will be very easy to wear. I have it styled here with a pair of dark wash shorts, but can’t wait to put it on with leggings (of course, especially my Spanx Faux Leather Leggings)

The top fits TTS, I am wearing a small. It does have a bit of a cropped fit to it, which I like. There aren’t any pockets on it but there’s a hood that lays down nicely in the back. I got another similar cropped sweatshirt that I’ve also linked. Completely different vibe, but similar fit and great for the month March, or every day if you’re Irish like me!

I also picked up these shorts. The pictures do not do them justice at ALL- they are the best color and have the perfect distressing. They’re also short, but not booty short, which is good for this mama.
